Kickoff 2011 Is Just Around The Corner

The Kickoff of our 2011-2012 campaign is just around the corner, with the first event being September 9, 2011 with our Lunch on the Lawn event at the Guernsey County Courthouse.  We follow that with our Noble County Kickoff Lunch on the Square, at the Noble County Courthouse. 

We are planning to have a old time favorite event make a comeback in October, with the Corpoate Cup Challenge!  Please watch this site and Facebook for updates.  As with any start up activity, we  are looking for volunteers to help United Way staff in this endeavor.

Our Business Blitz will take place in October, and we plan on contacting many of the businesses for help with the Blitz again.  Diane Elliott of U.S. Bank is heading that team of volunteers.

Another event planned for the fall is the Day of Caring.  The Day of Caring is a United Way event that mobilizes the community and involves employees in first-hand experience with area charities as well as raises awareness of community needs and services.  Andrea Van Fleet of U. S. Bank will head this group of volunteers.

The United Way is involved in a variety of events throughout the year, some as a fundraiser, and some to give back to the community.  Our list of events throughout the year includes:

Corporate Cup Challenge

The United Way Corporate Cup Challenge is making a comeback!  After a successful multi-year run, the Cup Challenge slowly started to lose steam.  It was decided to put the event away for a couple years, and then bring it back.  Keep checking for more information as it comes...
